The Cross Culture Christian Theater is an independent, faith-based, nonprofit theater company founded in 2016 by Rev. Elsa Johnson Bass.

The company’s vision is to enrich our neighborhoods by providing high-quality theater,
particularly to communities of color.
Our Mission

Cross Culture’s mission is to engage, entertain and empower people to work beyond the negative stereotypes about who we are and where we live.

Our families and our children must see positive images of themselves and their community. Theater affords us the privilege to tell our inspiring stories of our love, our strength, our struggles and our faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
What We Do
The Cross Culture Christian Theater is an intergenerational training company. We work with people of all ages who are serious about studying the arts. Classes, workshops and seminars in acting, technical theater, playwriting, graphic design, stagecraft and other forms of the creative arts will be offered at various times during the year when possible.
