Evan Hilborn is building a career that connects performance and purpose. His goal is to become a full-time actor and educator in the Philadelphia area, with his sights set on Broadway. It is a path that brings together craft, community, and a long-term commitment to both learning and teaching.

In You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown, Evan steps into the title role, a character that requires honesty, timing, and emotional awareness. What stands out most in this experience is not just the role itself, but the environment surrounding it. For Evan, the strength of this production is the community. A cast that shows up with energy, supports one another, and creates a space that is both focused and enjoyable.

His journey into the arts has been shaped by both education and experience. While studying music education in college, Evan remained actively involved in theater, balancing academic training with performance opportunities. That combination has carried into his professional work, where he now serves as a teaching artist with both the Walnut Street Theatre and Arden Theatre.

This dual role reflects his broader vision. Not only to perform, but to contribute to the development of others. Teaching has become an extension of his work on stage, allowing him to share knowledge, guide young artists, and stay connected to the foundations of the craft..

This year marks another step forward. Evan is preparing to begin his role as the Walnut Street Theatre’s education apprentice, an opportunity that continues to build on his experience in both performance and instruction. It is a position that aligns directly with his long-term goals and reinforces the direction he is moving in.

As he takes on Charlie Brown, he brings with him a grounded perspective. One that values consistency, collaboration, and growth. The role itself centers on perseverance and self-awareness, qualities that mirror the mindset required to sustain a career in the arts.

Behind that journey is a strong support system. Evan credits his parents, along with his friends Logan, Allie, and Hannah, for consistently encouraging him to push further and continue developing his potential. Their support has played a significant role in shaping both his confidence and his direction.

Evan’s path is not defined by a single role or opportunity. It is built through continued effort, connection, and a commitment to both performing and teaching. With each step, he moves closer to a career that allows him to do both.
